Common Questions

The Federal Government has proposed expanding its solar incentive scheme to cover commercial systems up to 1MW (previously capped at 100kW), making government-supported solar accessible to larger facilities such as factories, warehouses, retail centres, schools and farms.

Eligibility generally depends on your system size (100kW–1MW), site type and installation date. The proposed changes are intended to apply to installations from 1 October 2026. We assess your specific site for free and confirm your eligibility before you commit to anything.
How much could my business save? Published examples suggest a 250kW system could receive approximately $68,000 in upfront support and around $50,000 per year in electricity savings, while an 850kW system could receive approximately $232,000 upfront and around $175,000 per year in savings. Your actual figures depend on your roof space, energy usage and system design — request a free assessment for numbers specific to your site.
Is this rebate guaranteed, or could it change? These changes are proposed by the Federal Government and are intended to apply from 1 October 2026, subject to the required regulations and final eligibility requirements being implemented. We recommend registering your interest now so you’re first in line for an assessment and application once details are finalised.
Does iPromise charge for the assessment? No. Your eligibility check and savings assessment are completely free and come with no obligation to proceed.
What happens after I submit my details? A member of our commercial solar team will call you within one business day to discuss your site, confirm eligibility, and outline next steps — including an on-site or remote assessment.
