WHAT IS A VICTORIA ENERGY UPGRADE?
Victorian Energy Upgrades VEU program, is a government-initiated program to change energy efficiency. Households and businesses can receive discounts on energy-efficient products such as LED lights, heat pumps, in-home display and solar panels. This Victorian government initiative will allow them to significantly reduce their electricity bills and greenhouse gas emissions by using renewable energy.
The benefits of renewable energy are many: they are inexhaustible on the scale of human time, they are more environmentally friendly than unsustainable energy, and they are safe. Unlike fossil fuels, renewable energies emit very few greenhouse gases.
Among the main advantages of the different types of renewable energy exploitable for your electricity, heating and hot water, impossible not to mention:

– The ecological advantage, not/low pollutant and respectful of the environment.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE VICTORIA GOVERNMENT REBATE?
To be eligible for the Victoria Energy rebate, you have to check the list of participating and accredited companies in order to refer you to energy-efficient products and services.
If your household or business is located in Melbourne or anywhere in Victoria and is using old lights such as halogen, incandescent, and CFL bulbs, you are considered eligible to get an electricity rebate and participate in the program. If you are renting, you will have to check with your landlord in order to get a permission before we start to do any change or upgrade to your home
Businesses accredited under the Victorian Energy Upgrades program are called Accredited Providers (APs). Through this title, these companies are allowed to generate Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs).
For each certificate, 1 tonne of greenhouse gas is abated. Revenue generated through the sale of VEECs will enable accredited providers to offer energy consumers some benefits that will reduce the cost of undertaking these energy efficiency improvements.

The VEU program has a code of conduct that each Accredited Provider must adhere to. This code of conduct sets minimum standards of behaviour and is intended to protect you as consumers. The code applies to all those involved in the delivering or marketing of upgrades.
